Sill trim - attach

Hi, I'm going to install a cornice as a top on wall paneling. What is the best way to fasten it? Glue or brad nails?

I think if I glue it, I can avoid a lot of ugly nails, but will it stay in place?

There are incredibly strong adhesives (e.g., PL-400/600), and it shouldn't be subjected to much load. Otherwise, nails from a nail gun aren't very visible...
