Hello
I have installed ceiling gypsum and applied tape on the long joints and spackled them. The short joints I have only spackled and applied microlite. Now when I'm going to paint, the short joints are clearly visible
What do I do now?
Can I open a recess about 10 cm in the short joints and apply tape and spackle, then sand smooth to the level with the micro-lite and paint afterward? Or what suggestions do you have?

Why are the seams visible? Has the filler sunk or have they cracked? I often find that it needs to be filled several times as the filler sinks. For the next project, I will use gypsum instead of ready-mixed filler and hope that it sinks less over time.
You cannot sand through the paper and then apply tape. It's better to tape over it and spread the filler flat over the tape, extending it a good bit out to the sides.

I think that when I glued the microlite, the gypsum swelled at the short seams. Now there's a small bump at the joint. It's not more than a couple of millimeters. I'm considering 3 different options.T toolman77 said:Why are the seams visible? Has the filler sunk or have they cracked? I often think it needs filling several times as the filler sinks. 1. Sand it smooth and paint
2. Fill broadly over the microlite and then sand and paint
3. Cut out 5cm right and left of the seam so there's a recess and glue tape and fill/sand and paint
Can you fill a thin layer on microlite? I've never done it. I do fill the seams between the vaden, but it's only 1 mm. Have you done it before? What was the result in that case?
To deceive the eye, that's what matters. Making something not visible on the ceiling is difficult, as there will be a grazing light from the windows that reveals everything on the ceiling. Plastering (so-called broad plastering) should be at least 25 cm on each side of the seam with tape/paper over it, and it must be plastered multiple times. There should be a loooong hump over the seam, especially on ceilings, to trick the eye.
