Need to heat protect a wall where I will place a stove, also need to do the same in a corner where I will have a soldering table and open flames will be present.
The question is what provides better protection, 1mm metal sheet on drywall or minerit on drywall? Metal is much cheaper than minerit, but does it protect equally well? Or maybe even better?

The minerite insulates and doesn't get as hot as sheet metal. That's the advantage. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter. However, if you are going to have an open flame directly on the material, you should definitely choose the minerite.
There are guides on how to build a fire-rated wall.

The version with two normalminerit boards and 70mm stone wool I've built next to a wood stove. Probably overkill, but it was poorly done before. The old protection, which was original from 1903, consisted of a metal sheet 5cm from the wooden wall. Another 5cm away stood the wood stove. It smelled like warm resin when you burned hard in the stove.
I would think that there isn't as much need for heat protection in a soldering corner as behind a stove. You don't hold the flame towards the wall, and you're not soldering as long as you're burning in the stove, are you?
