Hello!

I've just removed an old air-to-air heat pump. Now I have a hole through the wall that I need to seal in some way. For the time being, I've put a towel on the inside and a piece of brick loosely in the hole on the outside.

How do I seal it permanently in the best way?

What type of wall is it?

From the inside out, it is:
Some semi-porous wood fiberboard, plastic sheeting, rough-sawn plank, insulation, asfaboard, air gap, brick

Foam sealant.

If you don't have any bricks lying around, an alternative could be to put a vent on the wall, either functional or fake.

Something like that on the outside maybe?
