I have replaced part of the main pipe from the basement up to the entry level. The main pipe was inside the wall, which has left a big hole.
The idea is to cover the hole on one side, but I don't want to enclose the new/old pipe on the other side which is still in and partially in the wall.
How should I proceed in the simplest way? I have about 8-10cm depth to work with.

Assuming it's the side we see that you want to close. I would have chipped off the plaster over a larger area than the hole. Embedded a net fastened with screws or clamps, plaster net or coarser if you have it, and gradually filled it in with repair mortar. Finally, plaster the surface to match the current wall.
Yes, that sounds like a sensible solution.S skogsliden said:I guess it's the side we see that you want to close. I would have chipped away the plaster over a larger area than the hole. It is the side you see in the picture that I want to close, yes.
Plaster with something like Lagavägg from Finja so you can paint as you like..P Psan said:

I think the plan is to buy one as below (or similar) which I will divide into smaller pieces and build up with mortar b (?).

Then finish with "laga vägg" for a "nice" surface.
A lot of new things lately...
