Seal between wall and ceiling/floor??
Don't know if I've placed this thread correctly but...
I'm in the process of renovating the walk-in closet located in a dormer. When I removed the mouldings from both the top and bottom of the outer wall, I discovered both an old mouse nest in the ceiling and some dead small insects on the floor.
They haven't managed to get into the closet due to the mouldings, BUT what would you do?
Should I seal with something before nailing up the new mouldings?
At home, I have some kind of transparent silicone that I've used around the sink, could that work?
All advice and tips are gratefully received!

You always find lots of critters during the renovation of old houses, such as mice, rats, small birds, various bones from? plus all the bugs and wasp nests. I also know people who have found dead cats and foxes in and under houses. It's good that the moldings have stopped these animals, which might not be so fun in a closet, but I probably wouldn't have done more than set the moldings well and not have any gaps at, for example, door edges.
Of course, you can seal if you want to, personally, I would probably choose some type of silicon to ensure it.
