Living in an apartment and behind the baseboards there are holes right into the wall. About a 5cm gap. Want to seal this and then put the baseboards back again. Was thinking maybe some form of foam rubber and acrylic sealant but maybe there's something specifically good for this? Looks like plaster and masonite in the wall. Floor is lacquered planks. Thanks.

Are there large and deep cavities inside the wall?
They should also be filled for the sake of thermal insulation.
Either with Gullfiber or with PU foam.

Is the apartment on the ground floor or higher up? The ground floor has plastered brick walls as exterior walls, while the other floors have exterior walls made of planks, likely three inches thick. The inside of the plank walls is usually covered with plaster on reed matting. Here they might have added other materials during renovation. None of these exterior walls have any other form of insulation. Contrary to our dear KnockOnWood, I don't think you should add any insulation. It will be a drop in the Mississippi. Also, do not use any dense sealing material like acrylic sealant. On the ground floor, you can use plaster, and higher up, some form of wood material.
