Screw OSB with wood screws, Torx.

It's common to use chipboard screws with a star head for OSB, but I like torx. Is there any disadvantage to using wood screws/torx for securing OSB? And is 300mm long enough in the studs?

Doesn't really matter what kind of trace is on the screw.

It's good if the screw has ridges on the head so you can get a proper countersink.

If you are referring to the length of the screw, 300mm sounds terribly long. Around 40mm seems like a suitable screw length for 12mm wooden boards, and of course, torx works well.
