Hi! If I want to clamp a pipe to a ceiling in a crawl space that consists of asfaboard, should I use a plug or do I screw directly into the asfaboard?

There should be a stud or some rule within 60cm to screw into. The board is screwed in as a last resort.

Exactly. There are studs on cc60 that are used, but there will be some clamping in between. It feels like I get a good grip just by using the screw clamp itself, but the question is a bit whether you should use plugs instead?

The board is probably a thin one, 3-6mm? Test if it's sitting well, probably half good, right?

Exactly, I think it's at most 8-10 mm. Of course, it doesn't fit as well as over the stud where it grips directly

If there are no heavy pipes to be attached, maybe screws on the studs and one in the middle of the board will be sufficient?

Yep, thinking the same (y)

Asfaboard is indeed porous like treetex. As mentioned, find the studs and make the fastenings so that they hold there.

I suggest that you first screw a one-inch board so you have something to clamp onto.
