Screw floor joist for interior wall in click flooring

Hi,

I’m going to mount an interior wall onto a floor that is a type of cheap laminate flooring. I'm not particularly concerned about the floor, so if the wall is removed later, it's okay if the floor gets damaged.

Could I encounter problems with the floor moving, which might cause issues with the new wall?

But cut a channel in the floor and place the wall directly on the subfloor.

It will then be much easier to remove the click floor the day you need to change the flooring.

Maybe it's not so bad, and not that difficult either for that matter.

Or screw the bracket through the click flooring and down into the subfloor, that's what I did.

You haven't had any issues with the floor moving then? How long has it been up?

I drilled a number of 30mm holes through the parquet and then inserted support sleeves that were 25mm which I placed the rule on. Then I screwed through the support sleeve, allowing the floor to move while the wall remains stable.

You haven't had any problems with the floor moving then? How long has it been up?

I have laminate flooring, maybe it moves less even though the core is chipboard. But otherwise no problems with any movement, the floor is on polystyrene boards with waterborne floor heating, not sure if that could affect anything? Screwed French screws down into the concrete slab through the entire construction in one place, then the battens are attached to the walls and with double-sided tape under the rest.
