Then screw both the OSB and the gypsum boards with at least 41mm screws, with cc50 spacing, and you'll have both suspenders and a belt, allowing you to sleep very well. :rolleyes:;)
If you want to be on the safe side, you can also glue.

skip the rule.
one thing to keep in mind when screwing plasterboard and plywood is that the first layer should be screwed more or less the same amount as the second layer.

but as said, if you have an extra stick, you can go ahead and hammer it in, otherwise, I at least wouldn't have bought one for this purpose...

Yes, the wall is framed, but not yet covered. But thanks for all the feedback. I don't know if I would call it a gamble to skip the rule though – it really feels like it will be quite stable anyway, but I wanted to check with more experienced builders if I had forgotten to consider something; rules for junction boxes and board joints and so on. But there are no problems in this case, so it should be fine.
