I will attach a batten to a plaster wall, which I will then attach a base cabinet to (which stands on the floor). The problem is that I only have one stud in the wall to attach my external batten to. So my question is, what should I attach the other side with (batten on a plaster wall)? The batten I am going to attach will not be loaded from underneath or from above, but rather from the wall and outward/inward. Is a molly sufficient, or are there things that are better suited? So, a batten on the wall, one end attached with screws into the wall stud, the other side attached with?? The cabinet stands on the floor, and on top of the cabinet, there will be a dryer.
