Hello!
I'm in the process of building a garage and am thinking about the roof construction. The dimensions are (wxd) 8700x8100 mm with a mono-pitch roof with about a 7-degree slope. I'm considering having some form of roof beams or rafters that are supported in the middle with, for example, a steel beam. If so, the steel beam would be 8700mm, what beam would be needed then? The roof will have a tar or metal covering with insulation, snow load zone 2-2.5.
Or if there's another good solution!
Best regards, Mathias

Why not build with trusses so you avoid support in the middle? It is probably cheaper than starting to fiddle with steel beams.
The idea is to keep the ceiling height as low as possible!

Then maybe SIP panels would be something? It becomes thin and self-supporting, finished with insulation. However, I don't know the price range.
