Well, of course. But consider that the house is from 1980. I have very free airflow in our attic and don't have any problems with mold or the like; ours is built in 1963. On a new house, I don't know.

I myself have zero (0) ventilation in the attic, which might be a little too little. RH is about 60%. But it is a so-called climate attic with insulation over the raw timber and vapor-permeable roofing felt.

As I wrote, not all houses are the same. Had a long discussion with myself about whether to use plastic when I furnished the upstairs. It ended up being plastic.

We have a furnished attic built by the previous owner. But I agree with you that ventilation is crucial.
