We have lightweight concrete walls in the basement level, internally covered with fiberglass fabric. Now we want to remove the fabric and have understood that it's not a good idea to skim coat over it if the wall is underground. Does this have to do with moisture migration?
What is a good solution if you don't just want to remove the fabric, plaster, and paint with silicate paint? The risk with this solution is that over time you may see the seams between the lightweight concrete blocks, which has happened in other places in the house. What is the right method here? What can you put over the concrete?
