There is probably no advantage if you don't have a large stock of such insulation.
Thank you for all the input! The construction is now becoming clearer in my mind, it will be glulam (90 x 360) above the opening. What I'm considering is how large a bearing will be required for the glulam beam. Is it enough with double standing 45 x 120 at each end of the beam, or should I perhaps go for 3? The studs will be screwed to the adjacent existing wall.
Double 45x120 will work well as support.
