It's spring now, so it's a nice project. Feel free to invest in good tools to make it much easier:
scaffolding
reciprocating saw (a must and a pleasure)
heavy-duty crowbar
hand-held circular saw
etc.

Thanks for the tips! Honestly, I barely know where to start with the demolition. The railing, which needs to be removed, is one thing. The floor will probably work itself out too. The paneling on all three sides along the edges has no issues, so I'd prefer to save it if possible. Maybe it'll become clear when I start tearing it down. Of course, you save the panel/facade and put it back afterward, but it must temporarily be removed so you can access the support beam along its full length.sandstorm said:Thanks for the tips! A good crowbar under the panel towards the support beam should make it come off, you can't be too cautious, there are people who do nothing but sell paint all day so you can fill in if you scuff it off during dismantling.sandstorm said:
