Hi,

Currently renovating my house and ran into a bit of trouble.
Tore out the radiator in the living room and the plaster was anything but firmly attached behind it. Even when I removed the moldings, a lot of plaster came off.

Attaching some pictures if I manage, otherwise I'll try again when I get home. :)

Damaged wall with partially removed plaster revealing red bricks behind, indicating renovation work in progress.

Damaged plaster wall with missing sections, exposed pipes, and broken plaster on the floor in a living room during renovation.

So my question is, what's the best way to repair it?
I read somewhere that hydraulic lime might work but I want a bit more input. Maybe add some chicken wire for reinforcement?

What ideas do you all have?

Regards,
Niklas

Gypsum plaster is easy to work with.

Husfix works well too. Can be used to apply thick layers (this also works with gipsputs)

YES, plaster plaster is easy to work with if you don't feel very handy with a trowel and proper mortar. Make sure to scrape away everything loose and bind dust with some adhesive/primer too to be on the safe side if it's very porous behind, I myself have developed a clear preference for Optiroc's adhesive.
