I know you can google it, but I want to know how you would have repaired the wall and which products you would use for mortar/render. The construction is not optimal as water accumulates and there is no natural drainage, but I need to make an effort until we redo the entire wall..

Grateful for tips

  • Damaged wall with peeling plaster next to granite steps, showing water damage and poor drainage in a residential setting.
  • Damaged exterior wall by stone steps with paint peeling; adjacent to a gray car and a garage, showing structural issues due to water collection.
  • Damaged stair wall with peeling plaster and rusted railings, adjacent to a garage and car, needing repair advice.

Agree, you get to cook for the rest of your life. But try pure cement mortar.

Cement mortar A, but that wall is doomed to break in the future unfortunately.

Yes. It is doomed. The idea is to chisel away one side so the stairs have one side, and put the railing directly into the step instead of into the wall as it is now.

Thanks for the reply.
