Hello,

Question 1 (image): I was drilling with an 8mm hammer drill to insert a plug and drive in a frame screw. But as soon as I started drilling, a piece of the concrete broke off. Is there anything that can be done about it? If yes, is it possible to drill again in the same spot or is it impossible? I notice there are wood and nails in the concrete at the edge of the concrete, why is that? PS. The drill hole visible is from an old door that was placed there.

Question 2: If you have drilled incorrectly by a few mm in concrete and want to move the drill hole a few mm, is it possible to do that? The old drill hole will be "in the way" though. Can you fill it with something and drill a few mm to the side of the old drill hole without it cracking?

Grateful for answers

Finjas Laga Vägg or possibly Handspackel Grov.

It might be possible to drill in the same spot, but it would be better to drill a new hole in the frame and move the hole slightly.

Moving the hole just a little isn't so easy, it might be possible to fill it with something and then start over, but the simplest is probably to move the hole slightly.

1 fill with a good compound. it might be possible to drill in the same place after repair. the wood is for frame mounting. wood is not good to have in concrete

2. it can be moved but you need to make some support or drill stand. it might work without if you have a steady hand
