I recently had a leak in the heating pipes running in the crawl space between the ground floor and the basement. I made a couple of holes in the basement ceiling to dry out any potential water damage and to install new exposed pipes.

How can I best and most easily repair the holes in the ceiling?

The house is from the 1930s, and the basement ceiling consists of concrete with plaster. The crawl space is insulated with sawdust.

Did you come to a solution on the ceiling?
