The projects follow one after another and now the bedroom needs to be fixed. The walls are uneven and the wallpaper has a rough texture. I have no desire to apply a broad coat of spackle, so I thought of putting on thin plasterboards 6mm. The question is how do I work around electrical outlets, windows, and doors to make it look nice and functional.

Exactly in that annoying way that you have probably already thought of but hope to avoid.

The easiest way is to buy jamb linings for windows and doors. However, this is not designed to build six millimeters, so it needs to be split to be really good. In that case, you might as well make your own reveals using a rip saw. Buy wood of suitable dimensions and cut to size. You will use the saw many times and it doesn't need to be expensive either. My 1500:- Proofy works great for such things.

Regarding outlets, there are extension rings for junction boxes. See www.gelia.se
