Hello,

We have just acquired a townhouse where the basement, at 40 sqm, offers good potential for living space. Currently, it includes:
• A larger room where the previous owner had a home theater
• An older type of toilet
• "snickerboa"
• Closet under the stairs

In general, the basement has white-painted concrete floors and walls, but the air quality is good and it smells as it should. There is a dehumidifier, which only needs to work a few days/weeks a year. The "snickerboa" is the most roughly furnished and is adjacent to the older bathroom. We are considering combining these into a larger bathroom/laundry room/storage space. Any comments or experiences with this? Anything particularly important to consider?

Additionally, we're thinking about how to achieve smooth, even walls without using drywall?
And whether it's possible to lay floating wood floors if using a Platon mat?

Thank you in advance!
