Great job!! 👍
I don't recommend widespread plastering in basements, either with gypsum plaster or filler due to moisture.
Irregularities in basements can look good, have patience until the paint is on. I think in many cases that an uneven surface in the basement is nice.
A picture of this then..?

I've plastered the ceiling with gypsum today, there's so much fun to do 😂

This is how it looks now!! Can you maybe add another layer of plaster / finer plaster??
A rough plastered wall surface with visible texture, possibly requiring additional or finer plaster layers.

Rough plastered wall with dim lighting in a room with tiled flooring and wood ceiling, questioning if an additional plaster layer is possible.

Oh hell, what a mess it looks like. :x It seems like there's room for a second layer, but the question is if you should maybe check with a murare?

I think you need more layers. I believe this based on how the masons repairing our facade are doing it. In addition to a couple of layers with pure repairs and filling of unevenness, there seem to be two layers of plaster. Are there any masons on byggahus who can write a plastering course?

Yes, follow the video and it will be fine.

We shouldn't scare away jesper, he did the best he could. But as mentioned, he applied it too thinly. A good tip is to nail a couple of thin battens that can be used to know how much plaster to apply, then just scrape off between the battens so it becomes even. Then fill in where it's missing.

Do not nail the plaster strips but do exactly as in the film, otherwise it will be a mess when they need to be removed and especially difficult to adjust so that they are vertical.

Apart from that, the film shows all the steps for successful plastering, but then there is something called craftsmanship. You don't become a bricklayer by watching a film for 2 minutes; it requires training or what used to be called an apprenticeship.

Haha, yes, I agree, it looks completely crazy.

Those with ribs seem convenient.

However, the plaster was about 1 cm+ before, and I've only managed to get it 5 mm thick now. As someone said, it’s a matter of skill. This was a valiant attempt to do something I've never done before :)

I've at most put some filler on a few walls, and that turned out great, but it's far from as hard as plastering!!

But I'll give it another try; should I just apply more plaster, or should I wait until it has dried properly first?
