I have a garage of about 25m2 with a concrete floor that looks terrible. I plan to spruce up the floor and eventually decorate the garage, which will include tiles and parquet in parts of the existing concrete floor.

But how should I proceed? I could use self-leveling concrete for everything, but it would be quite expensive. Can I use fine concrete, or is there a simpler method? See picture!
Damaged concrete garage floor with cracks and debris, showing a worn surface in need of renovation. Shovel and shadows visible in the background.

I also have a floor drain in the garage that I plan to close off. However, the pipe that the floor drain connects to continues to other floor drains that should remain in use. How can I close off a floor drain without affecting the function of the pipe underneath?

Did you come up with a good solution? 😊

No. But the question remains, so I'm open to creative suggestions!

I am in the same situation as you but plan to apply leveling compound from Biltema and plaster the walls 😊
