Hi!

There must be a smart way to get a screw pin out of the wall. I've googled but haven't found anything. Does anyone know?

I've tried sawing a notch but it's stuck like a rock. I've tried using the socket that was on it but without success.

Grateful for tips.

  • A screw stud protruding from a wooden wall with visible grain and knot, indicating a challenge in removal.
You take two nuts of the correct dimension (m8?) and screw them in so that both fully engage the thread. Then you tighten the nuts against each other so that they lock in place. After that, you turn the inner nut so that the stud comes out.
You will need two wrenches or adjustable wrenches to do this.

You need two wrenches or adjustable spanners to do this.

I recognize that. Will get nuts in the right size and try tomorrow. Thanks!

Thank you! It worked perfectly. Even so simple that the ten-year-old at home pulled them out. :-)

Great! It worked fine, of course! However, you must tighten the chuck very tightly. The thread gets a bit mashed, but if you screw nuts all the way in and then the chuck, you can save the thread fairly well by unscrewing the nuts afterwards. Thanks for the tip!
