Remove load-bearing pillar in living room, Älvsbyhus
We wish to remove the load-bearing pillar in the living room shown in the picture. The house is an Älvsbyhus from 2006. Has anyone done something similar and can offer tips on the best way to do it? I assume the longitudinal support beam needs to be reinforced with a glulam beam or an H-beam in steel?

Single-story or one and a half stories??
Then they probably already lay some form of beam there?
Looks in the picture like it's quite long so the replacement beam will probably be really hefty.
The posts where the beam will rest, will the floor joists there be able to handle the load from above?

It's quite a common procedure on Älvsbyhus, example here:

(If I may guess, that's a 90x315-beam)
I would recommend joining the group Vi som byggt/äger ett Älvsbyhus on Facebook and asking there, surely someone has done that.
