Hello!

I have a balcony from -76. It flexes a little. It doesn't bother me directly, but a friend thought it was a bit scary. So now I'm wondering, can it be reinforced somehow? Preferably without replacing the support beams that go into the house. I also don't want to put a post underneath, as it would look strange in the garden.

Thanks and goodbye!

Thicken the existing beams.

Hey! If you know how the studs are arranged in the wall above, you could draw a diagonal brace on each end of the balcony and anchor it to the wall's frame? You'll have to remove some panel boards to access it, but it shouldn't be too major an intervention.
