Isn't it possible to place noggings at 60cc and lay the chipboard flooring along the joists?

Interesting! I haven't thought about that.

Or place a nogging at each end of the bay (where you need to place one anyway if you are going to install floor chipboard according to instructions) and a new floor joist between these, in the middle of the bay. Or with another nogging in the middle of the bay if it's tricky with the water pipes.

If you place studs along the beams to create a support for the subfloor and you don't need to stiffen the floor joists, you can place studs across the entire span except right at the water pipes.

Why bother with framing, chipboard, and floating floors?
If you still want a wooden floor, isn't it much easier to just install a proper wooden floor in the appropriate dimension to handle 95 cm center-to-center?
I doubt it would be more expensive.

Just to verify myself, I've done a quick Google search and calculation:
Assumed room size of about 3.3 x 5.5 m (just to get some measurement on linear meters of studs that might be needed).
Calculated at 25 linear meters of 45x120 studs at 52 kr/m (for the whole room).

Byggmax studs, chipboard, and floating wooden floor (parquet, click):
Cheapest parquet (wood, not laminate): 200 kr/m2 => approx. 400 kr/m2
Most expensive parquet (wood, not laminate): 900 kr/m2 => approx. 1100 kr/m2

Solid wood floor 34x120 (spruce) can be found for 243 kr/m2
Solid wood floor 45x145 (pine) can be found for 407 kr/m2

If there is enough space for such a thick subfloor and then a 15 mm parquet on top, that's great!

You're absolutely right about that. Unfortunately, too late now… If I were to do it again, I would do as you suggest. It was more cumbersome than I anticipated to fit in joists.

Hello! I have torn up a slightly shaky raw plank floor and want to instead lay chipboard flooring and then a 14 mm wooden floor over it. The center-to-center distance between the joists varies from 75 to 95 cm. I need tips on how to easily arrange the joists to be able to lay down the chipboard. It's a subfloor.

The house was originally a cottage from the turn of the last century, which was renovated in 1968. That's when they nailed the joists onto the original beams to level the floor I assume.

Shovel out all the sawdust to begin with. You'll be surprised how much weight there is in packed sawdust. You will surely find a brick or two and such. Add joists in between and insulate for impact sound. Lay a 25 mm spruce or pine floor on top.

This is how the carpenters did it here a few years ago, in another room, before they laid the floorboard. It became sufficiently stable.

I am facing a similar project and your solution seems like the quickest and best.
