Hello to all of you happy and grumpy ones :)

Is there anywhere you can find frost-resistant recycled brick? New brick doesn't seem to fit a house built in the late 1800s.

We are going to build a gigantic outdoor kitchen next year. A project thread will come later. Planning to brick up the whole kitchen with Leca or similar inside due to strength and flexibility. The brick will only encase the blocks so they won't be seen. I also hope to find fireproof brick for the oven, grill, etc.

This is a project like no other, but damn it will be nice when it's done.

I can reveal that there will be a wood-fired oven, a Texas smoker, a large gas grill, an open grill, a kamado, and a couple of gas burners recessed into the concrete countertop that will be placed on top. Then, of course, fridge and freezer, hot and cold water, drainage and sink, good sound system, and the obligatory beer tap :) the entire outdoor kitchen will be roughly 50 sqm under roof, winter-insulated.

The whole garden will also be redesigned with a patio deck of 50 sqm, hot tub, sauna, and a completely new sunroom. But more about that in next year's gigantic project thread.

Until we meet again.

Peace lilies!!

Does this fit a 19th-century house?

Did you forget the link or do you mean that my projects don't belong around an 1800s house?

Hello to all of you happy, and grumpy for that matter :)

We will be building a gigantic outdoor kitchen next year. Project thread will follow. Planning to line the entire kitchen with Leca or similar inside due to strength and flexibility. The brick will only encapsulate the blocks so they are not visible. Also hoping to find fireproof bricks for an oven, grill, etc.

This is a project like no other, but he****e how nice it will be when it's finished.

I can reveal so much that it will have a wood-fired baking oven, a Texas smoker, a large gas grill, an open grill, a kamado, and a couple of gas burners embedded in the concrete countertop that will be on top. Then, of course, a fridge and freezer, hot and cold water, drainage and sink, good sound system, and the obligatory beer tap :) the entire outdoor kitchen will be approximately 50 square meters under roof, winter-insulated.

The entire garden will also be redone with a 50 square meter patio, hot tub, sauna, and completely new conservatory. But more on that in next year's gigantic project thread.

Until we hear again.

Peace lilies!!
How did your gigantic project go, should be inaugurated by now?
