Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on recessing the ceiling track for a sliding door into a ceiling?

We have a low ceiling height (2.30 m) on the ground floor and have built a wardrobe with low Pax (201 cm) frames, and there's just enough room for 28 cm high Ikea Samla boxes on top. And we would like to keep that option even after we've put doors on the wardrobe. (And we want the doors to also cover the storage above.)

Therefore, we're considering whether it's possible and not too big of a deal to recess a three-track sliding door rail into the ceiling.

If I've measured correctly, I believe the track could be placed parallel to a beam, and I guess that in that case, you would need to attach a joist to the side of that beam and then attach the track to that joist. Alternatively, I could install noggings between the joist and the next beam where the track has attachment points.

I suspect this would require me to take down the ceiling above the wardrobe and put it back up when the track is in place. But suggestions for other approaches are also welcome.

The ceiling consists of particle boards with visible seams.
