I want to remove the wall between the living room and the kitchen. The house is a Borohus from 1986.
I know I have truss rafters, but are these self-supporting over the entire span of the house? Note the attached drawing, which labels the central wall as load-bearing at point 6? There is also an "Okmur" under this wall in the crawl space.
Do I need to unload with a beam or is it just a matter of knocking it down? I think that in the garage they are not unloaded, which should suggest that it's clear to proceed, but one can never be too sure

From what can be deciphered from the drawings, it is load-bearing, but your trusses have not provided support in the middle, so there are somewhat contradictory details...R RobinGunnar said:Hi,

Normally in single-story houses, the trusses are self-supporting...
