Hello
We are going to install a stair railing next weekend and are considering whether a lag screw or a rampamuff/skrivstift is what I should use?
Lag screws from Lundbergs have received mixed reviews regarding quality, but maybe just a few have been unlucky.
What do you think is best if you don't consider costs and extra time in the work process?
I also plan to use wood glue to secure everything.
Best regards,
David

It would have been good with links to different things and an explanation of what the problem is.

Hello prototype
I thought that one knows what kind of products I am asking about, if not, then perhaps one cannot answer objectively.
The problem, if you want to call it that, is that I want to use the method that the forum considers "best," even though there might be many different opinions about it.

OK, you don't want to present the problem, so I'll have to explain how our staircase is put together.
But first, you write "skrivstift"........ with these I usually make marks where I'm going to saw or drill.
The actual railing is secured with sturdy wood screws in the stringers, and the handrails on that side are also screwed in.
On the other side, against the wall, the handrail is mounted with screw studs, M10 coupling nut, and a sturdy counter-sunk slot screw.
Rampamuff I usually use in furniture, but sure, you can also put together a railing with those.
Hope this helps you.
