I'm working on installing wind deflectors made of oil-hardened masonite under the sheathing on the extension. However, I'm a bit unsure about how to proceed. Should the masonite extend beyond the facade board? If there's any condensation and it's too far inside, the condensation will drip down the wall. On the old house from the 80s, it ends inside the board placed between the rafters.
Then there's the question of how far up the wind barrier should go. Does it usually end at the last horizontal rule under the rafter, or should it go all the way up to the wind deflector? In that case, you almost need a batten under the wind deflector to attach the wind barrier to.
Please, does anyone have a picture of how you've done it or any tips, write quickly!!

I finished my board in life with the top rule, I don't think there's any risk of condensation. Then I placed a vertical piece of masonite between the rafters, joined the masonite pieces with a 35x35 piece that I beveled at the same angle as the roof slope. A bit hard to explain, I think there's a diagram on traguiden.se
In hindsight, it probably would have been much easier to complete the wind deflectors before nailing the raw wood panels to the roof.

The wood guide was a good page to look at, I probably saw it before but it was a long time ago. I nailed a strip of lath with the correct roof angle under the wind deflector before installation so I can attach the windproof cloth to it. It's basically the same as what you did "Nybyggarn". Yes, one should probably have sorted out the wind deflectors before the tongue and groove as mentioned. But once you've done a couple of sections, it goes pretty quickly.
