It gets much better when the plasterboard goes on. Working with metal studs requires some experience. Be careful with the screwdriver and stop as soon as the screw bites. If you find it difficult to get the right feel with OSB against the studs, just wait until you have to screw the plasterboard on top of the OSB sheets...
I was the one who went all the way into the forest too hard! Now I took it slower and let the screw do the work!
That, together with 2 plugs in each stud, makes the wall completely rigid
It will be good with drywall on
Now it's starting to look like a room again
I used wooden studs for the interior walls, it's much faster and has been working since '72 without an air gap!
What I did was nail up OSB with a nail gun, 18 gauge and then long screws right through the plasterboard and OSB into the stud!
Turned out great
It was me who pushed too hard into the forest! Now I took it easier and let the screw do the work!
That together with 2 plugs in each stud makes the wall completely stiff
It will be great with gypsum on
How did you manage to drill through the metal stud and the wall when the stud looks like a U?
