So... I'm in the process of renovating a large bathroom. Most of the walls will have large, white tiles, and the floor as well as the walls inside the shower will have slightly speckled gray tiles. I want a grout that can keep dirt and discoloration at bay as much as possible. In the kitchen and the smaller bathroom (I'm renovating an entire house), I've used Lip's grout in Anthracite. But now I want a light gray grout for the white tiles, and some type of medium gray for the gray tiles. Logically, I think a grout with finer grains would be easier to keep clean. The grains in Lip's grouts are <0.4mm, while in many other grout mixtures they are <0.2. A friend who recently renovated a house is pleased with Kiilto's grout, so I thought I'd try that. But I've now picked up samples to see how the different colors work with the tiles, and the samples are a joke. They consist of sticks painted with high-gloss paint. On both the light gray and gray sticks, the colors look significantly more beige than gray, and I really want a somewhat cooler gray color, to avoid the speckled gray tiles appearing more beige than gray. Does anyone have experience with Kiilto's gray grouts and can share how they think they look? Or do you have another favorite grout? Someone who might post a picture of a light gray or gray grout you've used and that looks nice? I find it difficult to even find example pictures. Or any other thoughts?! Sorry for the long post, but it feels so important to get this right. Thanks!
