Hello forum,

A few years ago when we assembled and mounted our pool cover, we forgot to remove the protective plastic from one section, which is now becoming apparent. It looks somewhat like peeling paint.
Using a pressure washer can remove a little at a time, but it would probably take ages to remove it all.
Chemicals like thinner feel risky since we don't know how the polycarbonate will react.
I've considered a heat gun but haven't tested it yet.
Has anyone here made a similar blunder?
I could live with this as eventually nature will probably win.

How did it go for you? I have exactly the same problem, except in a conservatory. You can remove 1mm at a time, but it takes too long. The previous owner did not remove the protective plastic, so where the sun has baked it on, it has "burned" in place.

Hi, haven't done much more. A few (many) hours with high pressure work. Unfortunately, the heat gun broke so it hasn't been tested.
