Polished concrete slab throughout the house including wet areas
I have searched around and haven't found any thread that provides really good answers for me. If there is a thread, please direct me to it.
We are going to build a house where we want to polish the entire slab so we have the same polished concrete throughout the house. Including wet areas. The idea is to only treat the concrete with a dust binder.
Now three questions:
1 - What are the best ways to treat polished concrete for the whole house except wet areas?
2 - How is the floor in wet rooms waterproofed?
3 - How is the transition from floor to wall waterproofed in wet rooms?
There will be waterborne underfloor heating in the slab.
We do not want to add any top-layer casting in the bathrooms with a moisture barrier between the top-layer casting and the slab.
If there are more tips on how a polished concrete floor should be maintained, they are gratefully received.

I've looked into this for building a summer cabin. A polished concrete slab is best treated with water glass to achieve a durable surface.
You cannot use the slab as flooring in wet rooms. Waterproofing is required in both the floor and walls. This goes over the slab. So, you can't have the same floor in the bathroom.
You can of course choose tiles or something else in the bathroom. If you want concrete, consider microcement, which is approved for bathrooms.

You can "paint" with transparent Epoxy if you want it waterproof but still see the concrete.
Surface treatments like HTC superfloor are otherwise practical and durable.
