Currently assembling a wall-mounted greenhouse against a carport storage room, the problem is that the posts + longitudinal wall rail have pre-drilled holes & hence I can't screw directly into the studs. The wood paneling is only 22 mm, which feels too weak to attach the entire structure to. Is there possibly a plug designed for wood material that provides better fastening?

Is it really wall-mounted and not just wall-attached? Then it works with the pre-drilled holes.
Otherwise, drill new ones adapted to the studs.
With good screws, a 22mm panel should be fully sufficient. Unless it's just about two holes or something then........ The weight itself rests on the ground, I assume?

Yes, exactly, the weight rests on the ground & furthermore, the construction is anchored to cast plinths at the two outer corners, so it should be stable enough already. I guess I might have ended up with something that isn't a "real" wood screw though. They are threaded all the way up to the head, but a couple of them just spin and don't grip the posts/rails properly.
I was mostly thinking about intended montage screw which is sometimes used instead of French screw. They have a slightly higher spiral on them so they dig well into the wood.
