Plaster on steel..

Have embedded L-steel for a lintel in a brick wall (indoors). The wall will be plastered (plaster type c) but what do I do with the beam? I've recessed so the steel is flush with the brick. Is there some super primer or do I need to glue on a thin plaster-carrying board on the beam to then plaster on??

Answering myself. I think I might have found something that could work, Sopro PUK 503. Has anyone tested this product?

I ended up priming (Weber 4716) directly on the steel. Mesh over everything and plastered as usual. Turned out really well and has held up for over 1 year. .

I have a feeling that bruk usually sticks like crazy to metal... those who don't clean trowels and such probably know that.
