I have removed a door frame to have a doorless/frame-free appearance instead.

The wall is a brick wall, and just in the opening, there are large irregularities, in some places 1dm.
I am going to plaster, but with such large irregularities, I am uncertain. Should I make a small mold and cast? Or should I use suitable bricks (pieces of) to even it out?

How thick can you plaster?

Hope it is understandable what I mean otherwise I can try to post a picture later.

Now I'm venturing into deep water.
Our painter:o plastered a wall where we tore down about 2dm for a larger opening.
Boards on both sides of what needs plastering, and depending on the depth, fill with brick and use mortar intended for plaster/masonry "depth".
If the long sides of the boards are straight, you get an even and straight side, "just smooth along with it."

There are certainly better ways, but this turned out very nicely for us... But then the house is not entirely angle-secured:D

Apparently, it didn't exist in 1923...:)
