I have just finished insulating the upper floor and have reached the heating and pipe installation stage. I plan to run the heating pipes (plastic) in the outer wall behind the vapor barrier on the gables and in the knee walls on the long sides (I have insulated out to the eaves). The pipes themselves are uninsulated, but they are either in the insulation in the outer wall or in the insulated knee wall. Does anyone know if this solution could cause problems with moisture/condensation?

There should be no problems with condensation or moisture during normal operation since it is non-humid air that is heated by the pipes if installation is done correctly.

However, it is recommended not to run heating pipes in exterior walls due to the risk of freezing if the heating stops working while you are away during a cold winter period. If they are only on the inside, the situation is no worse than if they were behind a finished wall.
