I'm in the early stages of building a deck. I'm currently digging holes for piers and have encountered a small problem. I'm planning to cast my own piers and have them at a depth of about 50 cm. I've now hit rock or large stones after about 20-30 cm depth. What should I do now? Can I pour a bag of coarse concrete, insert a pipe, and cast as usual? Tips are appreciated.

If it's rock, then it's just a matter of pouring concrete, drilling down a couple of rebar to hold it in place...
Or you can buy a "stolpsko" for 39:- at Biltema and drill with a 20mm drill, attaching to rock is excellent!
