Hello, I have just assembled a PAX sliding door wardrobe from IKEA. The dimensions are 200x236 with two sliding doors with panels. Each sliding door is 100x236. When I finished, I discovered 8 small plastic pieces that I forgot to use. They were supposed to be used when assembling the aluminum frame on the plate that connects all four parts of the aluminum frame. I screwed it as the assembly instructions say but forgot the small plastic piece in number 6 of the assembly instructions. I called IKEA, and they said I need to take down the doors and redo it. Oh my God! Do I have to do that - what is the function of the plastic pieces? Does anyone know? Help!! In the picture, you can see the small plastic piece. No. 10006187 10006207 10006204 It's the one I forgot. Best regards, Cecilia

They should be in place when assembling the aluminum frame onto the sheet metal that connects all four parts of the aluminum frame. I have screwed as the assembly instructions say but forgot the little plastic piece in no. 6 in the assembly instructions.
Called IKEA and they said I must take down the doors and do it again. Oh my! Do I have to - what function do the plastic pieces have? Does anyone know? Help!!

That's the one I forgot.
Kind regards, Cecilia
The plastic piece is meant to cover the edge/corner of the aluminum profile. That edge can be somewhat sharp since the profile is cut there, the plastic piece ensures that you can't reach the edge and risk cutting yourself.

Not a must, in other words?
