Partition wall in plastic-covered space
Hello
I have an insulated cabin that is lined with plastic on the inside!
I'm now going to build a partition wall and have a sauna on one side.
The wall will have 45 insulation and the question is whether I need to have plastic on one side? Both sides? Or neither side?
Thank you for your time!

Hello again, I'm wondering about moisture in that partition wall, particularly at the bottom. The 45 rule is screwed directly into the chipboard, and there's no floating screed, just wood. Is it possible for steam condensation (water) to get trapped in here and continue downward, causing it to rot, or does it dry out, or how should one think about it? I am attaching a side-view picture of the interior wall, which I hope is understandable.Oldboy said:

No, there are no problems with condensation. The wall is thin so any moisture dries out quickly and nicely.
Possibly with water on the floor if it can run into/down the partition wall. That is, a defective moisture barrier on the floor and then that a lot of water is handled in the sauna so that there are constant puddles of water on the floor that can run out towards the walls.

Ok that sounds good, there shouldn't be any water coming down from the sides or puddles on the floor. Thanks for your answer!Oldboy said:
