Parallel wall along rafters - Load-bearing?
Hello,
Once again, one of the most common questions on the forum. Believe me, I've searched extensively on the forum to find a good answer - without success.
We are planning to open up part of the kitchen wall during our kitchen renovation in our Hjältevadshus from '68.
I am attaching some pictures that can clarify the planned intervention.

Plan layout with red marking showing the part of the wall that needs to be demolished.

Image 2.
Photo taken in the attic explaining the direction of the wall. The kitchen wall runs between the rafters.

Are there any experts who, with the help of this information, can conclude whether the kitchen wall is load-bearing or not?
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately not. I have requested extracts of construction drawings (which I hope they have) from the building committee but have not yet received any response. I only have facade and floor plans right now, unfortunately.K Kane said:
I just went up and took photos (the one attached) in the attic and could confirm that the wall runs as I describe. However, I have not lifted the insulation to see if there is any flooring between the rafters.
How did it go with this? I'm in a similar situation.
It turned out that the wall was not load-bearing. I hired two carpenters, with engineering training, both of whom could confirm that it was okay to demolish.
