Where can one find inexpensive timber?
The width should be about 12cm and the thickness about 2cm.

If you have low aesthetic standards, you can use formvirke, for example 22x95 (I think some lumberyards also sell 22x120) and cut away the worst parts before installation.

It doesn't really matter that much how it looks.
What is the approximate price for this?

4-5 kr per meter I might consider.

You can use råspont 23x120, bought it at bejier for 6 SEK per meter = 50 SEK per square meter.
It was ändspontat, so there is no waste.

I will have a gap between the boards of about 20mm.

21*120 costs 7.99 per meter at Byggmax. [link]
I've checked there a bit, so I'll probably shop at Byggmax. Cheapest so far for regular boards.

I have bought 25x135 for 5kr/m. It's a smaller place, but darn cheap.

Maybe you have some smaller "bysåg" that has reasonable prices, the timber doesn't need to be particularly fine either.

When I built our woodshed, I made the walls with "reverse" lock paneling....... ;)
I used 22x145. First, I attached the paneling on the outside and left about 90 in between each. (Had the wall framed horizontally with 45x45.) Then, I placed the locks on the inside. This way, I achieved superb ventilation and protection against rain.
