Panel instead of OSB + drywall?

Looks great! What were the dimensions of the panel?KnockOnWood said:
When we built a new house in 2010, we clad all interior walls, except in the shower/toilet room and laundry room, with horizontal wood panels.
Even in the kitchen, but there we had drywall underneath, because we were going to have tiles just above the counters.
We didn't use any OSB anywhere.
We applied white hard wax oil to the wood paneling.
A major advantage of the paneling is that you can put up pictures, paintings, hooks, etc., without leaving any visible marks afterwards.
I see no disadvantages at all compared to drywall.

Unfortunately, we sold the house in 2020![]()
Is it a lot of work to apply hard wax oil? Is it difficult to make it look nice?

Thanks!Karl-Bertil Jonsson said:
It was about 180*17 mm. I don't remember exactly, and the house is sold now.
This is what it said on the packages:

The hard wax oil is easy to apply, but maybe a bit tricky to get completely even if you're not a painting pro.
But so what, after two weeks you become blind to it
Unfortunately, we have sold and moved, but often long to go back!
