Hi,
I've been looking but can't find an answer to this particular question. I'm going to install a new ceiling on the porch this weekend and have purchased groove paneling (Sauna panel) to nail up. Primer-painted and applied a first coat of covering on the ground before it goes up. The question now is if I can use my brad nailer with electro-galvanized brads and then apply another coat of covering (white facade paint) or will it rust through eventually? Stainless brads for the nailer are very expensive and hard to find. Nailing by hand seems tough when there are quite a few m2 to put up. What do you think?

It's going well! You're lucky because so far it's raining from top to bottom!

I would never use anything other than hot-dip galvanized nails (or stainless steel) outdoors. Even indoors, it's hot-dip galvanized that's the go-to, even though there's a lot of screwing today.

Strange. Maybe it hasn't reached Beijer yet? Because all of NKT's range is electro-galvanized for indoor screws.

In a completely weather-protected space with no direct water exposure, you can in good conscience use electro-galvanized brads that you then paint over.

Indoors, electroplated works normally. It's when spaces are left unheated, like in the countryside, sauna, etc., that electroplated doesn't fit. In my opinion.

Thank you for the response! I'll go with nails and paint over it. If it bleeds through again after X number of years, I'll deal with the problem then :)
