Isn't it enough to fasten the gypsum with through screws through all the boards?

S
it might be enough but wood that swells has great force. better with screws all the way.

then you also need to glue. nailed boards and råspont are never fun. nails are pulled out by the movement of the wood (applies to chipboard as well)
Now I think you're exaggerating. In that case, most facades and roofs would come off, in other words? It's not plain nails that are used anymore.

Agree, raw form has been nailed for ages, has never come loose and won't now either.
Nail the raw form, screw the gypsum with 30 mm gypsum screws, has worked since gypsum was invented.
People even nailed with 30 mm cut nails without any problems, why complicate things with nail guns that destroy most things?

You should never use the gypsum screw to hold more than the gypsum board, the paper isn't strong enough for that.

The chipboard/OSB/plywood board should be secured first.

S
nope, just experience. but this doesn't apply to 5, 10-year-old timber, more when it approaches twenty years old.

The chipboard/OSB/plywood sheet should be fixed first.
It is hardly the screw head and the drywall that resist, but rather the threads of the screw in that case.

The drywall screw pulls through the drywall long before it will secure both the drywall and the underlying panel.

Mention OSB to the same carpenter and you'll get a bucket of scolding. They've learned the hard way to call it "skitplyfa". :D
Plywood is, of course, superior to both, but as we know, it comes with a completely different price tag.
I don't know any carpenter who installs chipboard in the walls.

We ALWAYS install OSB + Gypsum and so do all the other companies I know.

Why keep harping on about what carpenters always do or don't do, the industry is full of people who do this or that due to old habits.

Independent figures have already been presented showing that all boards (chipboard/OSB/plywood) can handle the loads that might occur in a normal home.

Obviously, there are people who call themselves both engineers and carpenters who both install one and laugh at the other, and I think that can be ignored since there is independent evidence in the case.

Personally, I choose what is cheapest and have never had any problems with either paintings or large TV sets.
